This site began as I was writing Whisper, a memoir of my childhood from the green humidity of Indiana, to the ever-present cool breeze of Seattle. Which if you click on the cover to the right you can purchase.
Through this process I discovered the wonderful people at what was then the Red Dress Club and now is Write on Edge, and through them tried my hand at fiction again after the passing of more than a decade and because of that am now working on a fantasy novel with the working title Ailanthea: Dusk. My debt to them and to the Trifecta Writing Challenge is difficult to express, only to say that if you are looking for online writing clubs you will find none better.
On a personal note; I am a forty-one year old woman living a life in New York City. I study Hung Ga Kung Fu, and live in a wonderful apartment with my long-time boyfriend Christopher and two dominating happiness providers (cats). I play video games, and am pretty good at them. When I am not writing, I can often be found working for the Doe Fund, Inc where I, among other things, teach creative writing workshops. I wear my hair short and red and have since I was 14. For anyone who ever asks, yes, it’s my real hair color, because it was the one that I was meant to have, clearly.
